Tree Limbs

Thank you for reporting tree limbs that may be growing too close to power lines and affecting your electric service. To help us serve you better, please complete this entire form, including your contact information and location of the tree(s) in question. Tampa Electric will investigate your request and advise you of any line clearance that may be necessary.

Please note: Tampa Electric only trims trees that are growing too close to company lines — the lines that run from pole to pole. Tampa Electric does not trim trees that are threatening to interfere with your service drop (the line that runs from our pole to your house). The service drop is the responsibility of the property owner. Please contact Tampa Electric's One Source Department at 813-635-1500, two weeks in advance to request and schedule an appointment to have your service drop disconnected in order to have the trees near this line trimmed safely. We recommend that you hire a professional tree service to do this trimming.

SAFETY FIRST: If you see sparks where the tree limbs are making contact with the power line and/or your power is out, do not complete this form and call Tampa Electric Customer Care at 813-223-0800 (Hillsborough County), 863-299-0800 (Polk County) or 1-888-223-0800 (all other counties and out-of-state).
